Timeflies Tuesday Mixtape (Mediafire)

ยต

So as i've written before i've decided to compile all the Timeflies Tuesday songs into one compressed .rar file for you to download. People were complaining the the Filefactory link was too slow, so here's a mediafire copy. If you don't know of Timeflies I highly suggest checking them out.

Red Nation (feat. Lil Wayne) - Game

Not a new song, but a good one. (The) Game is a fairly unpredictable artist to me and to be honest has a lot of pretty shit music but every once and a while he creates something amazing. Set up a song with a beat like this and you can hardly go wrong. Plus the assistance of Weezy places this track among one of the greats. A lot of people might already know this song but it's always worth sharing for those who don't.

Midnight Star - Moufy

This guy is someone who I haven't really kept up to date with since his earlier song Twist it and Light it (which has a really smooth feel to it). He dropped this mixtape recently and this specific star has struck something with me. I honestly think i'm a sucker for honest sounding songs because again this song has what sounds like a deep sounding recount on his own life. Have a listen.

Le Wild Niggas In Paris (Mashup) - Joao Beraldo

This is actually a song made by a friend of mine (Joao Beraldo). I told him i'd upload but it's really not even as a favour, this song is fucking good. With some pretty impressive smooth flowing combinations I'm really surprised. If you like this you should check out his Soundcloud and see what else he has.

Bullets - Sammy Adams

At this point Sammy Adams can't do anything wrong. This song is off a pre-album that released last year but this particular song caught my eye lately. This beat is literally one of the sickest beats i've ever heard and Sam does what he does best. This song should have had wayyyy more buzz. Also, i'll be posting most of what he puts out from now on seeing as he really is one not to miss. Say what you will about the genre, but
this is good music.

Big Medina - Aer vs. Notorious B.I.G

I'm fairly certain we probably all know the original of this song, Notorious B.I.G himself is one of the greatest rap artists of all time but Aer show some pretty cool talent here in mixing their music with his. This song comes off a mixtape released what is almost 7 months ago. I had downloaded this and let it be lost again in the far too many songs I listen to at one time, glad i've stumbled upon it now however. There's something magical about bringing back classics and changing how we see them without taking away the original brilliance.

HAUS Volume #2 - 3LAU

After the nothing short of amazing first edition published earlier on my blog (HAUS Volume #1 - 3LAU). This volume starts out quite mellow and has a very different feel but is once again an amazing example of 3LAU's incredible talent. 34 minutes of pure brilliance. There's a moment around 4:33 when the beat stops and he infuses some RHCP to create an insane calming vibe which just says so much about this song. What talent.

Tracklist:

Timeflies Tuesday Mixtape

Since Timeflies really are one of greatest duo's out there for me I decided to take the time to compile a complete .rar file of all the Timeflies Tuesday songs (up to date to 22 of May 2012). If you're looking to download them in one group, here you go.

Lupe Fiasco - Around My Way [Freedom Ain't Free] - Lupe Fiasco

Lupe has always been a bit of a wildcard, but that's what we all love about him. I can't recall seeing anyone with the same genuine rebel persona that Lupe sports. This plus his unbelievable and undeniable lyrical ability comes together to one of my favourite artists out there. His last album Lasers was heavily criticized and debated (although I have to say I really did enjoy it a lot) and since then he's been a bit off the grid. This song however really does bring him back into the spotlight. It's good, actually very good. Lupe 2012 <3, what's next?

Download : I would again suggest youtube ripping this song as i've not found a good link myself. (or god-forbid actually buying it!)

Diemonds - T-Mills

This is a great song, an interesting blend of auto-tune and good verses. I haven't heard anything from this guy yet but i'll be sure to look up some more soon. Have a look.

COTDAMN - Dumbfoundead

Nothing much to really say about this song other than the fact that it's sick. This song has a killer beat and some pretty damn good lyrics to it too. Dumbfoundead has been quite the youtube sensation for a while now and it's interesting to see him expand and grow beyond this. If he keeps this kind of stuff up, he's going to be big.

Payphone (Remix) - IanJ

Now, I have to say that so far every remix i've seen of this song has been pretty terrible, especially those that try to cover the vocals that really can't seem to be successfully duplicated. Adam Levine's almost gymnastic vocal ability isn't something easy to cover. This however is mostly focused on the rap side and has literally been on repeat for the day and a half or something that i've had it. IanJ takes a significantly deeper tone to this song and has actually won a lot of respect from me for this, to be honest I hadn't really noticed him much before. To me, this song has a sort of "real" feel to it which is a nice change to some of the music lately. It's laidback and well produced. Enjoy.

Whateva - Mac Miller

This is the case of me flipping through my iPod and stumbling across this song and just being completely confused at how I had totally forgotten about it. Mac Miller himself is someone I think you really have to sort of "get" or you just wont like him. I can't exactly explain why I like him so much myself, with a slight lack of actual lyrical intensity he manages to persuade me every time with his indisputable ability to create rhythm and give a great vibe to a song that just always puts a smile on my face. His "I don't give a flying fuck" attitude really does attract and i'm a firm believer that not all music has to be a deep confession of inner feelings and that some music is just meant for a certain time or mood. This song has an excellent beat with the sample sounding like an old Linkin Park track I absoloutely LOVE (Runaway - Linking Park).

In any case,

Dear Professor (Eliminate Remix) - The Dean's List

A friend of mine (Ciaran) showed me this song, it's a remix of The Dean's List - Dear Professor. I've always loved the sample on this one and to hear it remixed this well into a really sick Dubstep song is just awesome. A song with this much potential deserves a good remix like this, and a good remix it is.

Don't Turn on the Radio - Truth Himself

This is a song that appeared on Truth Himself's last free album On to the Real World that released last week. This guy has real sense of genuine ability to him and is someone who just seems to honestly want to share his story. I wrote on his facebook wall the other day and he even found time to respond to my post, so still small time, but I really believe this guy is going to be huge some day too. This song has just such a real sense of truth to it that it seems really deep to someone looking in from the outside. To be honest the whole album really is worth checking out, his music might not be the most interesting to those looking for sick new tracks at first sight, but it's really worth the time. If you have a minute or two, i'd really suggest listening to his music. You won't be disappointed.

Here's the free album below, take note of it being free. Now that's someone who doesn't care about making money all the time, he just wants to be heard.

Sunshine - Matisyahu

Matthew Paul Miller known as Matisyahu is one chill dude. This guy has always cracked me up with his disregard for public or social normalities in the sense that him being an almost orthodox Jew seems almost counterintuitive concerning his musical adventures. Nonetheless this guy just does what he loves, and he does it well. This new song was available for free in the past two days but unfortunately that period is over so i'd suggest youtube ripping it if you like it. As for the song itself, apparently the general consensus is that people tend to like the acoustic version more, but I definitely appreciate this version too. Chiiiiiiiiiiiilllll.

Dead Presidents III - Logic

To start off i'd just like to say that lately i've been posting less and this is really just due to a REALLY busy schedule of late but i'm aiming to pick up the amount of posts to bring the level just a bit higher in months to come. Anyways, this is one of the songs off of his new mixtape Young Sinatra : Undeniable (Click to Download) and this is just really one of the MANY really amazing tracks on there. This specific track however has a really, really well written lyrical quality and shows Logic's amazing appreciation for rapping on a simple (but very good beat). Near the end there's even what i'd call a "Nas" style acapella break in the music where Logic spits absolute fire. After listening properly to the mixtape this is become one of my favourite tracks and just puts Logic even higher up on my list of amazing rappers. He really is one to watch.

Enemies (Original Mix) - Bare

This is a sick Dubstep song with some awesome 2pac sampling. Seriously, want to make a fucking great song? Put a 2pac sample like this before a drop and watch in awe. This song is part of an EP that is actually on iTunes and not free so I do have to get to checking out some more by Bare but I have to say this song has me intrigued.

Rooftops - Wiz Khalifa (Itunes Shuffle)

This song is by all means not a new one and featured on Wiz Khalifa's last album Rolling Papers. It's a reasonably well known song that just happened to pop up again on my iPod on shuffle reminding me of how much I love this song. With a really relaxed tone to the song, it's a song most likely missed on the album filled with a lot of different more well-known songs. Curren$y featuring this on this does a good job in my opinion and completes an awesome song.

Download: I'd suggest buying or downloading Rolling Papers the album as a whole, this song's on there.

Circuit Break - Protohype

Well, I'm not 100% sure what genre of music this actually really is, i'm going to go with dubstep, but sometimes it sounds like an electro-cross with dubstep. Not bad at all in any case...I'm going to do some further research into this illustrious guy going by the name of Protohype and see what else he has to offer, but for now; enjooyyy....

Forever - The Pro Letarians

I Downloaded "Hello Forever" by the Pro Letarians a few days ago and from the first listen I knew these guys were going to be good. With a reasonably original style and some impressive flow to their music i'm really interested to see how this duo will turn out. The song I picked out is not actually their most famous (that would probably be "Church" (Click for Video) so far but I actually like this one more.

Dearly Beloved - Truth Himself

Truth Himself is an artist that sprung up about a year ago with the song One Song and has since been another great "up-and-coming". To be honest, it's not his voice that is really amazing, but he does have a nice  sense of how to lyrically turn a song into a gem.

He released a free-album called "Where's the Exit" last year and to be honest I never properly listened to it up until now, but man I've missed out. The song called Dearly Beloved shows exactly what he's all about with a more down-beat feel to it, but some amazingly touching lyrics. It's interesting how these smaller artists can really have something special to them before the masses know who they are. Truth Himself is releasing ANOTHER free album this Saturday, which I'll be sure to post if it lives up to the promise.

Kings & Queens (Throw It Up) - Joseph SoMo

Another release by SoMo. After the largely positive response I got concerning the Last Joseph SoMo post I've decided to post this song too. This song was released this morning and while it's not the most amazing song i've ever heard, it's really got this nice, calm, care-free vibe to it again. And it's also an original.....It's interesting to see how much Joseph SoMo is blowing up recently, i'd love to see him continue on this run, he deserves it.

Logic - Young Sinatra: Undeniable (Mixtape)

Finally. Logic dropped his Mixtape - Young Sinatra: Undeniable earlier today and I have to say so far it's even better than I thought it could be. When I first heard of Logic about a year ago I was mildly impressed but could see he had some fairly decent flow. Since then I kept tabs on him, regularily downloading whatever I could find by him when it dropped but the progression he's made since then is absolutely amazing. With the singles and first impression of this mixtape he's really become one of my favourite up and coming artists. After his last mixtape Young Sinatra (Click to Download), he's just been getting better and better.

So, this Mixtape really will be one of the best mixtapes all year. I'd highly suggest downloading it, or atleast giving it a listen. Logic won't disappoint.
