Smooth Movin' - Jon Bellion and Blaque Keyz

This isn't a new song, but is one I found while exploring Jon Bellion from earlier a bit more. This side of Jon Bellion caught me completely off guard, but I have to say I'm very impressed. I didn't think he had something MORE than an already incredible singing voice, the man can rap (let's just call it that) too! Not only that, but the other artist featured in this video Blaque Keyz has an amazing calm vibe to him. I have to admit that the first time he had chills running down my spine. Very impressive style of music.

Conor Maynard (Drake Covers)

Now, if you know anything about this guy, you'd be a little surprised to find him featured here. It's not that he isn't good, it's that according to many, he's taken a rather disappointing direction lately. I mean, as a 17 year old guy, it's hard to be a fan of some of his latest songs, clearly aimed at teenage girls and not really my kind of music. However, one thing that cannot be denied, is that he has an absolutely AMAZING voice. I'm going to link two Drake Covers he did in late 2011 and early 2012 that have completely blown me away. Now I know they're just covers, but in truth they're probably the best covers I've heard of any song. (Something reminds me of Joseph SoMo here, what is it about Drake covers?!)

The Motto (Drake Cover) - Jon Bellion

Here's a guy that has a lot of talent. With over 167,000 views on Youtube it's nice to see some recognition for such a brilliant rendition of this song. This guy has an incredible range to his voice and approaches this song with such a surprising softness while remaining upbeat, it never fails to bring a smile to my face. I'm definitely going to check out some other stuff from this guy and explore his music. He's definitely someone who deserves a lot more following and support. Join his facebook group and support!

Ill Mind of Hopsin 5 - Hopsin

This song has created an unbelievable stir in the past week or so. People have been showing me this song left  and right, and to be honest, i've been very surprised at the range of different music listeners enjoying this song. Hopsin is quite the controversial one, and this song is definitely no different. In the past year or so i've been following since his song "Sag My Pants" (shown below) which I absolutely loved, (and interestingly reached almost 15 MILLION views on youtube. What's so great about him though is that it sounds a lot like he hasn't been getting the credit he deserves, and everyone loves an underdog. There's no doubt this guy is immensely talented and this version of Ill Mind of Hopsin is incredibly smooth but has this awesome bite to it as he literally slags off other people face to face in the video.  On top of that, he's actually got some good points, albeit amidst the cursing and aggressive gestures.

Ivy League - Cyhi The Prynce

This is a guy I hadn't really listened to since this crazy tune (A-Trak feat. CyHi Da Prynce - Ray-Ban Vision), but that's almost 2 years ago. Nonetheless, this mixtape is again insane. There's something about Cyhi's voice that just works perfectly for rap. It's not even as if he has a great singing voice, but a great attitude and sound puts him quite high up the ladder. The mixtape has a lot to offer and a wide range of sounds. Give it a shot, you'll be surprised.

What Happened? - Dope D.O.D.

A friend of mine showed me this song, and it's quite simply one of the sickest rap video/songs I have ever heard. This trio from Holland have a following of over 50,000 on facebook but have this awesome underground feel to them. So, along with the song (which is very good and has lyrics that just make you want to scream along with the song ) the video just blew me away. It has by far the best production, and some for once, original ideas and concepts to it. Will I just call it Dope?

Under The Influence - Timeflies

If a new mixtape by this duo doesn't have you excited then I don't know what will. A couple days on, and after listening a few times I can say that again, Timeflies can't go wrong. With 85,000 fans on Facebook, tours around the US and with an awesome buzz, I couldn't be happier for these guys. They deserve it. After putting Timeflies Tuesday on hold for the summer, they've obviously taken no vacation. The Sky's the limit, right?

Personal Favourite: (This song might come as a suprise to some, but the pure vocal quality of this song for me is well above anything we've seen from Cal in my opinion, combined with a great sample and good rap)

Mixtape Highlight (Because this song is just damn sick too)
